Our Team

Our team of corporate advisory and executive professionals brings extensive experience in capital markets, financial structuring, and operational expertise.

Nick Farnan – Managing Director & Chief Investment Officer

Nick has three decades of capital markets experience including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and strategy advice. He has a proven value creation track record across a wide range of industries and situations. This includes public and private markets, acquisitions, debt and equity fundraising, start-ups, growth capital, corporate reorganisation, debt restructuring and management team development and change.

Nick founded Management Advisors where he was principal lead in over 20 buy/sell side and development capital transactions in the Europe, USA, SE Asia, Australia & New Zealand. He has direct executive experience and has supported many companies through the investment cycle to exit. Nick has worked for a range of PE and VC Funds. He holds a BEng (Elec) & MBA, both The University of Canterbury & Grad. Dip. Prop, RMIT.

Tim Langdon – Executive Director Global Markets & ESG

Tim is a senior commercial executive whose career spans banking, capital markets, media, and the environment. With leadership roles at Southbank Capital, NAB, BP Finance Australia, Bank of America, Banque Indosuez, and HSBC, he brings deep treasury expertise to sustainable finance. Holding a Bachelor of Economics, MBA, and Diploma of Financial Services, Tim is a Certified Treasury Professional and a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders.

As founder of Carbon Market Pty Ltd and author of The Art of Markets, Tim has been a driving force in Australia’s environmental markets for over two decades. His contributions extend to judging the Banksia Sustainability Awards, Parks & Leisure Australia Awards, and Carbon Farmers of Australia Awards, as well as mentoring future leaders at RMIT University.

Having owned and operated wholesale/retail native plant nurseries for over 30 years, Tim’s nurseries have propagated millions of native Australian plants for Farmers, Councils, Landcare Groups, Catchment Management Authorities & Home Gardeners – providing habitat for birds, wildlife, insects and restoring our natural environment.

Quintin Freeman – Consultant

Quintin has 35 years of experience in financial management with a range of skills gained in the professional arena, investment banking and in industry. His focus is to raise funds for development capital and for management buyouts. These funds are raised in the private sector and through IPO’s. Quintin’s expertise includes strategic planning, M&A and divestment activities for industrial businesses. He specializes in emerging businesses in the building products sector and in the technology sector.

Quintin previously worked in SBC Dominguez Barry/ UBS’s & Deloitte corporate finance team, co-founder R&D Capital Partners debt funder to early-stage businesses. He holds a BSc, University of Southampton.

John Stewart – Investment Banking & Technology M&A

John has over 25 years of investment banking experience at JPMorgan, Lazard and Gresham, including 9 years in San Francisco focused on technology M&A. He has experience in a broad range of sectors and strong global networks. In addition, he has experience as the CEO of a digital health start-up. John has advised industry leaders such as Microsoft and IBM as well as small start-ups.

Murray Allott – Chartered Accountant & Pacifica Representative

Murray has been advising clients for over 40 years on accounting and business advisory services. He raises capital, supports the execution of expansion strategies and provides practical solutions to clients. Murray provides advice across range of industry sectors and has acted for a number of high-profile entities. Murray has previously been a director of a number of a group of investment companies, and a large New Zealand based property companies.

Geoff Murdoch – Due Diligence Specialist

Geoff brings extensive experience in buy and sell-side due diligence projects (in excess of 150 transactions) in the USA and Australia for private equity, corporate and financial stakeholders. An energetic and self-motivated leader Geoff has developed a broad range of strategic, financial, attest and operational capabilities built over 18 years with Ernst & Young in various regions and roles including audit, transactional support, solvency and restructuring.

Grant O’Donnell – Construction & Project Management

Grant has four decades of commercial experience in the construction industry. His focus is project time and risk management. Grant has worked with many of the larger property development companies and major builders to support the clients’ delivery of their project. He has work with both state and federal government on landmark projects. Grant holds a BSc Project Management from RMIT.

Alex Dowman - Analyst

Alex is an analyst within the business. He is responsible for market analysis, development of three-way financial models, writing and reviewing information memorandums and other documentation which are used as part of the M&A transaction process. Alex holds a BCom (Honours) and Dip Math (1st Hons) both from The University of Melbourne.

Pei Juin Ung - Analyst

Pei is an analyst within the business.  He is responsible for research and analysis, writing and reviewing information memorandums and other documentation which are used as part of the M&A transaction process.  Has completing a BComm at The University of Melbourne. 

Lucas Toeh - Analyst

Lucas is an analyst within the business. He is responsible for research and analysis, writing and reviewing information memorandums and other documentation which are used as part of the M&A transaction process. Has completing a BComm at The University of Melbourne.

Jake Cutajar - Analyst

Jake is an analyst within the business. He is responsible for research and analysis, writing and reviewing information memorandums and other documentation which are used as part of the M&A transaction process. He is completing a BComm at The University of Melbourne.
