The Business brand has grown steadily establishing a strong reputation for quality and commercial fashion in the quality end of the men’s leisurewear market. Commencing as primarily a winter season leisure apparel the Business has broadened and established a strong presence across a summer range. 

The Business operates on an indent order basis. There is no stock speculation apart from major department store refill or quick response items. Even these are purchased against store estimates. 

The Business has established strong relationships with its key suppliers in China. The relationship with its suppliers is such that new products can be designed, manufactured, shipped and delivered to retail outlets in significant volumes in a 6 – 8 week time frame. 

Major accounts include Myer, David Jones, Harris Scarfe, Ed Harry, Target, Tony Barlow, export, and other major menswear groups. Department Store relationships are managed by direct liaison with the Company’s Marketing Manager. 

The Business is ranged a top three selling supplier in several categories to Myer. The Business competes for these sales against leading National and Multi National Brands. The Business retains agents to act as store merchandisers to ensure that the company’s product is properly displayed, identified, ticketed and marketed in Myer and David Jones outlets. 

The executive management team continue to develop growth strategies. The Business owners are in their 60’s and wish to retire from the business. 

The earning figures incorporate Vendor wages and superannuation payments in excess of $530,000 based on only 2 FTE resources. Cost savings of approximately $1mil are anticipated to be available to a purchase party should the business be acquired by an existing trade participant with logistics infrastructure in place.
